Samuel A. Gereszek joined Brudvik Law Office in 2019. Sam graduated with distinction from the University Of North Dakota School of Law, was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in May 2011, and has remained an honorable member since. Upon graduating from law school, Sam re-entered the military via a full-time position with the North Dakota Army National Guard recruiting and training future military officers through the Reserve Officer Training Course on the University of North Dakota Campus. After serving a three year contracted tour, then "Major Gereszek" decided to forego the military way of life and pursue his passion, the law.

In April 2014 Sam joined the firm of Hammarback & Scheving P.L.C. as an associate with the primary position of establishing a criminal defense practice for the firm. In just five years of practice, Sam created a formidable criminal defense presence throughout the Red River Valley and most of North Dakota. Sam has created a reputation for honest, zealous, steadfast, and professional representation through years of experience by defending clients in several murder cases, large multi-jurisidictional drug related cases, in both State and Federal Court, as well as countless other trials all the way from Class B Misdemeanor to Class AA Felonies.

Sam's other passion in law is Appellate Advocacy. In this area of law, Sam has argued in front of the North Dakota Supreme Court well over 60 times in just five-years. Sam has argued some of North Dakota's most legally complex issues of law from Supervisory Writs on unconstitutional pre-trial bond orders, all the way to statutory interpretation of probationary law.

Sam is a member of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, a member of the Randy H. Lee Inns of Court, and the Greater Grand Forks County Bar Association. Sam remained with Hammarback & Scheving P.L.C. through their merger with Brudvik Law Office P.C. in January 2019 and is honored to continue representing clients in his primary fields of practice in criminal defense and appellate work with for a full-service law firm with such a stellar reputation that is so strongly rooted in the area!

In his free time, Sam is a founding member of a North Dakota based non-profit called the Veteran's Warrior Foundation vested in supporting local Veteran's in need, and raising awareness for military related suicide prevention. Sam loves spending time with his family and riding his Harley
