The $60 million dollar deal was first proposed in October 2015, and an EMC filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission indicates that it will likely be completed by Sept. 30. However, the path from proposal to completion has not been an easy one for the technology powerhouses, and at least one of 15 class action lawsuits filed in connection with the deal will be heard by an appeals court.
